MAKE YOUR CLEANING AGENTS

Cleaning your house doesn’t have to be expensive, detrimental, or complicated. You can do your cleaning products using the simple and natural ingredients you must have in your kitchen. By doing that, you will spend less, provide the environment with less waste, and safeguard your skin, eyes, and respiratory system from the toxic chemicals that can irritate them. In this article, we will show you how to make some of the most common cleaning products, and I will give you some simple DIY recipes.

Dishwasher liquid

Dishwashers are time-saving, but dishwasher liquid or tablets can be expensive and may contain phosphates, which are bad for water supply.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of liquid castile soap

1/2 cup water

One teaspoon of lemon juice

Three drops of tea tree extract.

1/4 cup white vinegar

Stir the water and the soap together. Now, stir the rest of the ingredients until everything is blended. Pour into a bottle for keeping. Use two tablespoons per washing.

Laundry detergent

Most commercial washing powders and detergents are loaded with bleach and other substances that may cause skin irritation.

Ingredients:

One bar of shaved bar soap, either oil-based castile or chemical-free laundry soap.

1/2 cup of soda crystal.

1/2 cup of borax substitute is optional.

Mix soap shavings and soda crystals until everything is combined well. Decant into a container and be sure to store it. Use one tablespoon per load (2 tablespoons for heavy soils).

Glass cleaner

Ingredients:

1/4 cup white vinegar

4 cups warm water

Mix the water and vinegar in a spray bottle. Use for cleaning windows or mirrors with a dry cloth or newspaper.

Furniture polish

Ingredients:

Lemon oil (essential oil)

1/2 cup warm water

Add a few drops of lemon oil to the hot water. Mix well and spray onto a cotton cloth. Use the cloth to wipe over the furniture, and then wipe again with a dry, soft cotton cloth.

All-purpose cleaner

Ingredients:

1/2 cup white vinegar

Two tablespoons of baking soda

Ten drops of your chosen essential oil (optional)

Water

Mix vinegar and baking soda in a spray bottle. Use essential oil if desired. Complete the rest of the bottle with water and shake it well. Spray it and wipe it with a damp cloth.

These are merely a few of the easy-to-make cleaning products made out of natural ingredients. You will benefit from a cleaner, greener, healthier home by making your own cleaning products.
